The Camera Doesn't Lie

But Software Can Sure Exaggerate

When I spent a couple of weeks in the hospital back in April, following my stem cell transplant I wanted to let my family and friends know how my recovery was progressing.  So I snapped a couple of pictures of myself so they could see for themselves.

My doctors think they've discovered what my problem is.

Now for some reason I didn't get a lot of replies to this note.  No one seemed to notice my head had shrunk significantly.

So the next day I sent the following...

Any ill effects from your radiation?  None whatsoever!

Hey, the camera doesn't lie!

Brian: I saw so many doctors I'd say "which" doctor are you?

I mentioned a while back to my roommate that "seeing is believing" doesn't hold water anymore. Now you can't even believe a picture. Too bad.

Don: As the internet interloper you are, Don, you should know more than anybody about fixed pics. I'd be dangerous if I had Photoshop.

Ha ha! Funny pics. What's with your hair in the first one? And what's that orange stuff sticking out of your ears in the second one?? Good TT.

00dozo: Ha, ha, the "effect" did that with my hair in the first pic. In the second, that orange thing is on the wall behind me but, yeah, they look like over-sized ear plugs.

I really love your do! Nice and fluffy!

I wish the camera would lie about me. I want it to make me look like (insert beautiful, classy, not slutty too many of them around these days here).

*grin*

Quirks: Who are you and what have you done with the real, beautiful, classy, not slutty Quirky?

So, based on the 2nd picture, are you seeing double? Oh, I crack myself up!

nonamedufus said...

Kelly: Yeah, for some reason they sometimes call me "four-eyes".

Love you reat sense of humor in what appears to be a very serious situation. No photoshop here. My Theme Thursday is HERE .

nonamedufus said...

Monkey Man: Thanks. I'm really a-head of things now.

So no one noticed you were looking a bit odd, huh. Have you changed your will yet?

PattiKen: Ha, ha, ha. Now there's a thought!

I have got a thing
That's unique and new
To prove it I'll have
The last laugh on you
'Cause instead of one head
I got two
And you know two heads are better than one.

Two heads are better than one, I guess. Especially if the is super tiny.

Frank:
All I can I say
That is, if I may:
Others' efforts would be pathetic
Only you could wax poetic.

nonamedufus said...

Mike: You're quite right when you say "the" is super tiny. But "a" is even tinier.

Leeuna said...

Haha. Not only does the camera add a few pounds, in your case it added an extra noggin. So, are you smarter now? :)

nonamedufus said...

Leeuna: No, but sometimes I find myself repeating myself. No, but sometimes I find myself repeating myself.

Baino said...

Haha . . I'd love to master photoshop and play around like that.

nonamedufus said...

Baino: Me, too, actually. All I did was choose one of the options on my MacBook's "Photo Booth". The computer takes your picture and the option you choose does the rest.
